You know how it is to carry a strong imagination within yourself?
I carried ONE clear image -The seed of a Mexican tree
carried by the Gulf stream from Mexico to Lofoten and of course -
there lies a big true in it.
An old friend found a seed from a tree on the seashore.
He was certain it came from Mexico - he was right!
It was a seed from a
tree called “Corazón de Mar”
(Heart of sea).
Lofoten wouldn’t be the same without the Gulf stream from
Mexico. Like the seed, I ended up in Lofoten.
After some time - I felt. like this
place needed some spice, so I definitely couldn’t do anything more authentic than a
TRUE MEXICAN RESTAURANT.
So feel warmly welcome in our restaurant on the sea - always with
a little bit of salt in the air.
We bring most of our essential ingredients from Mexico.
We work with high quality local products, like our pork that comes
from Myklevik Gård - a farm from Stamsund - or our fish, from a
local fisherman, he likes to be called “El Capitan”.
Chiles, chocolate and authentic species are some of the
ingredients we bring from Mexico.
We focus on high quality and consciously investing more in them in
order to create real Mexican dishes to get the best flavor in your
mouth.
We consider that our guest deserve only dishes made with love
and passion in every aspect.
Our chefs are creating daily traditional dishes and delicious
desserts based on old hidden recipes from our family.
So the only way you can experience some exchanges of cultural
food explosions here in Lofoten is by enjoying some unforgettable
