... to have a restaurant.

 My mother and my sister used to have a small restaurant where
they were serving ordinary Mexican food, nothing fancy but utterly delicious.

 In that little establishment, the whole family had a roll. Chayito and
Yanalthé were ruling the kitchen; my father, Don Tomas, was in
charge of the public relations as he always brought all his friends
after the football match on Sundays to eat and drink at our small
lovely restaurant; my brother Carlangas and me were in charge of
opening the sodas, cleaning, serving tables and washing the
dishes.

We were…we are a true family restaurant!

















So I grew up eating delicious dishes, having beautiful parties where
we hosted a lot of friends celebrating christmases, birthdays - Any
excuse was excellent to eat, drink and celebrate.

 That’s how I developed a very demanding taste of food and drink,
that's how i learned to be a good host but here in Lofoten I was
missing all of that somehow.

 Then I realised - I need to make my own Mexican food and my own
parties so I learned to cook by recreating my mother’s recipes.
 Mijo´ !! It’s possible to become a true Mexican cook by cooking
live over video calls with your mother and sister ;)

working with original secret family recipes together,
as a true family.
